Google MapsClick to read

Tap on the Google Maps app to open.
Search for a place in your home country.
Swipe up from the bottom of your screen to get the information.
Tap on ‘Directions’ and then choose your starting point. This can be your home address. Tip: if you have your location turned on (on your device) then you can choose to start directions from wherever you are.
You will see a number of options for you which indicate driving, public transport, walking, taxi and cycling:

how long it will take you to
walk or drive.

•Tap on the app to open it.

•You can now use your phone or tablet to translate other languages.

Using iTranslateClick to read

•You will see two options on your screen.

•Tap on the flag and select your own language.

•Tap on the other flag and select the language you wish to translate e.g. if you wish to translate from Hungarian to Irish then

is the first option and

•You don’t need to upload videos to use YouTube.

•YouTube can be very useful for finding ‘How to’ videos with step-by-step guides.

•For example: D.I.Y, cooking or music.

•Type in ‘piano for beginners’.

•Tip: You may get a lot of results when you search on YouTube. A good way to filter these results is to check the number of views.

•If there are thousands/millions of views then this can be a sign that others have found the video useful.

•Think about something that you would like to do e.g. Yoga, cooking, online games.

•Search in your app store for relevant apps

•Check the app reviews to see what other people think.

•Check that the app is free before you download! Some apps have a small charge – you can choose to pay if you think the app is worthwhile.
