Whatsapp is the most used app for messaging online: it allows users to send text messages and voice messages, make voice and video calls and also share images, documents, user locations, and other media.

Facebook Messenger is a messaging app and platform.

If you have a Facebook account then you automatically have a Facebook Messenger account: you just have to download the app from the Store and log in with your Facebook credentials.

You can chat with your friends or whoever has a Facebook profile.

When you log in with Facebook from PC you log into Messenger too.

Telegram is a cloud-based instant messaging and voice over IP service. It is very similar to Whatsapp and more than that, Telegram has got “channels” that could be use for broadcasting messages to an unlimited number of subscribers.

Telegram could be used also on PC.

Like Whatsapp, WeChat provides text, broadcast and voice messaging. With it you can share photos, videos, documents and location and you can also do video calls and conferencing. WeChat also allows users to exchange contacts with people nearby via Bluetooth and it can also integrate with other social networking services such as Facebook.

Viber is another app very similar to Whatsapp, it provides text and voice messaging, video calls, photo and other media sharing. Like Whatsapp and Telegram you can log in on Viber also from computers.

There are also other free apps you can use for messaging yet it is very easy to search others. You can choose the app you prefer searching on the Store of your smartphone (Play Store for Android or App Store for iOS).

You have just to digit the name of the app you like most on the store and install it!

Gmail has been developed by Google and it is an efficient alternative to Outlook app. In Gmail you can log in both with your Gmail account and your Outlook account, all you need is to remember your mail address and password. 

Gmail also provides to manage tasks and calendar.

If you have got an Android smartphone (or tablet) you have already got the Gmail app on your device as default  application. Instead, if you have got an iPhone you have to download it from the Store.

In order to have Outlook app, you have to download it from the Store either if you have got an Android or an iPhone.

You could also use one of the app we saw for messaging since most of them provide video chats and can be used both by mobile devices or computers.

You can download each application from the Store of your mobile device.

In order to use the app you prefer on your PC you can download it from the Store (if your computer provides it) or search the download file  from Internet.
